SERVICES

  • Convert ACT! 2005 - 2006 to ACT! 5.0 - 6.0:

    Our Service helps you to overcome ACT! 2005 - 2006 problems i.e. Slow speed, more memory consumption and inability to generate certain Reports as compared to ACT! 5.0 - 6.0. We convert all your Important data including Contacts, Groups, Notes, Histories, Activities, Opportunities from ACT! 2005 - 2006 to ACT! 5.0 - 6.0. Moreover, our services are at affordable price. You can either download the Manual and Order Sheet or you can also apply online.

    Conversion Charges:
    Our Conversion Charges are $375 for upto 10,000 records. Additional $50 will be charged for each additional 5,000 records. For eg: 10,001 to 15,000 records = $375 + $50 = $425. Conversion includes Contacts, Groups, Notes, Histories, Activities (Calendar) and Opportunities.

    On Order Confirmation and recieving full payment, 50 records will be converted for approval. If approved, then all the Data Conversion will be done. If you are not satisfied with the trial 50 records conversion, then $50 will be deducted as processing fee and rest will be refunded.

    GUIDELINES FOR PROVIDING THE DATABASE IN CORRECT FORMAT

    Step I: Save the copy of your Act2005 Database

    • Open your database in Act2005. The default location is My Documents/ACT/Act for Win 7/Databases. Select 'Save Copy As' from file drop down menu. A screen appears as shown below:

      Enter the database name (e.g. DatabaseName_Copy). Check the
      'Share this database with other users'.


    Step II: Verifying the Copied Database

    • Open the database in Act2005, which you just created (DatabaseName_Copy). The default location is My Documents/ACT/Act for Win 7/Databases. Click OK on the screen as shown below.


    Step III: Creating Files to send us

    • Go to Start Tab and open the Windows Run command from the Start prompt and type ‘act7diag’.


    • Press Enter. A screen appears as shown below


    • Click on the Database Tab. Screen with the existing databases will appear as shown below.


    • Right click on the copy of the database you just created and click on Detach Database option.

    Step IV: Creating a zip folder

    • Go to Windows Explorer and go to the folder where your database exits. The default location is My Documents/ACT/Act for Win 7/Databases.Select the .ADF and .ALF files. Add these two files to Zip folder.


    Step V) Uploading the Zip file or emailing the Zip

    The file can be uploaded to the server using a FTP program or can be emailed to us.

    • Or email the Zip file to info@swordofmelody.com
    Also provide Username and Password of the database, if applicable

    Step VI) Sending Order Sheet for the Service

    You need to fill this order sheet and fax or email it to us.
